UK Recovery Month Events 2015
You might be surprised to learn that Recovery month is now in its 26th year, across the world and this year we expect to see lots more activities and events taking place in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales to celebrate our recovery all ove rthe UK. This year for Recovery Month 2015 and each year September is the month where we as individuals who have reclaimed our lives can really promote and celebrate the virtues of what being in recovery actually means. We do this not just with each other but by offering ourselves as living proof of recovery, a visible presence offering hope to those that still suffer and challenging stereotypes, judgements and myths about addiction .
Recovery Month 2015 during September is also an opportunity for us all to honor the work of the many people and agencies who work hard every day in the area of both prevention and treatment.
Here are a selection of #ukrecovermonth events that we are aware of. If you would like us to list your event please send details too annemarie@facesandvoicesofrecoveryuk.org
